Screenplay

Screenplay – Hailey Marks-Burton

EXT. Woods – evening.

Scene opens and there’s a view on the trees and a SILENT forest. Nothing is moving, but the SOUND of RUSTLING is HEARD SOFTLY. Also, an EERIE MUSIC is playing.

QUICKLY a large creature RUNS past the trees, but it is not visible what it might be.

EXT. Near the woods – evening.

ROSS enters from the right WALKING towards the forest. He appears angry.

ROSS
(Under his breath)

Ugh!

Ross continues walking towards the woods KICKING the leaves on the ground.

ROSS
(Muttering)
What is there problem…

Ross is so distracted by what is wrong; he is unaware of the noises coming from the forest.

NOISE #1
(Howl)

EXT. Woods – evening.

Ross enters the forest and continues to KICK the LEAVES in anger. Ross then arrives at a clearing in the forest. Ross becomes paranoid as he hears noises from the background.

ROSS
(Paranoid and worried)
Hello?

Ross then turns around in circles, trying to see if someone is there. After a while, he looks for a way out, when he HEARS another sound.

ROSS
(Panicking)
Is anybod...anyone there?

NOISE #2
(Rustling from behind the trees)

As Ross turns half way around TERRIFIED by what is lurking in the trees, a dog leaps up at him from behind and attacks his right leg.

ROSS
(In pain – screams)

DOGS
(Howling and eating)

Ross lays there in a pool of his own blood while the dogs, when finish, RUN past the trees, looking for their next victim.
